Focusing on the blessings ‘or positive aspects’ of our lives can help us to avoid depression and/or find our way out of it. This doesn’t, by any means, make us oblivious to the horrid things around us. Instead, I find it gives me the courage and compassion to reach out to and receive from others whether we agree with each other or not. It can truly simplify life.
